Satan forms weapons of temptation and circumstances that target our sin nature. Picture growing spiritually as climbing a ladder or walking up a ramp. The enemy sees where we are and starts forming a weapon to drag us back into bondage. If we are moving up the ladder or ramp in spiritual growth, when the weapon is fired, it hits below and behind us and does not prosper. If we are standing still or sliding back.
