The Trinity Effect

We are made in Gods image, God is a trinity, as are we.

God’s trinity works in perfect unity without a hierarchy, making God’s trinity holy. The spirit part of our trinity that was designed to work in harmony with God, was severed by “The Fall”. Our spiritual connection that sees things from an eternal prospective was lost, throwing our trinity into chaos. With our spirits in a coma on life support and just our conscience surviving. Our bodies and minds now fight each other to override our conscience for control, without Gods eternal prospective! This causes us to act out of emotion, and short sighted selfish logic. We are easily deceived by the promise of fame, fortune or power. Our shortsighted focus does not allow us to see beyond our own wants and needs.

Our ability to determine good and evil is sadly lacking. We all know people that wouldn’t let the facts get in the way of their opinion. Sometimes it’s the person in the mirror. Mankind is trapped chasing the works of the flesh.

(Galatians 5:19-21 Message) “It is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your own way all the time: repetitive, loveless, cheap sex; a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage; frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness; trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness; cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants; a brutal temper; an impotence to love or be loved; divided homes and divided lives; small-minded and lopsided pursuits; the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions; ugly parodies of community. I could go on.”)

To understand the sin nature we have to understand the nature of sin. It comes naturally, no one has to teach a child to lie or steal.

Sin’s nature starts out as justifiable behavior that leads us into bondage! Things are neutral, God wants us to have things and do things. He doesn’t want things to have or do us

The book of Proverbs says it plainly “Every man is right in his own eyes.” In Gods eyes “There is a way that seems right to a man, but ends in destruction.” Which is also written in the book of Proverbs.

Our hurts, wounds and experiences good and bad all determine how we think.

Our education system and the media wants to tell us what to think.

God wants to teach us how to think. As a man thinks so is he. What we think about we become. Not only that, but what we think about we get. The problem with that is, what we think about we get. It can be a blessing or a curse.

     Philippians 4:8-9 The Message (MSG)

Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, (Apostle Paul) what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.”)

Only the Holy Spirit indwelling us can give us insight to see outside ourselves far enough to keep our sin nature under control.
