We are to take pride in what we do. Say I am a widget stacker, not just any widget stacker. I’m the best, I can stack more widgets than anyone in the allotted amount of time.  One day while doing an amazing job of stacking widgets. A man walks by and says excuse me. I don’t know anything about stacking widgets because I’m a bricklayer. But if you were to start here and stack this section first, then these two sections and that sections last. You could stack 15% more widgets in the same amount of time.  Having pride would say, you’re right. You don’t know anything about widget stacking, I have been stacking widgets for many years and this is the best way to stack widgets. But thank you for your concern.  Taking pride would say. Could you go through that again, I want to take some notes.  I am aware there is no best way of doing something because there is always a better way.  Taking pride is having a spirit of excellence, which states. Every time you do a job, improve!  Having pride can make a person unteachable. Like I said before, unteachable spreads to every area of life.
